Steering
The development of modern steering systems is extremely demanding in terms of both safety and function. adcos has developed a new type of electromechanical steering system, which is already being used in multiple articulated buses from the company CRRC/ZELC in regular service in several large cities in China. Furthermore, adcos supplies the higher-level control software for guiding the vehicles, which are up to 35m long, with a precision of just a few centimetres.
Chassis suspension
Driving dynamics continue to play an important role in terms of vehicle comfort and stability. In this way, actively controlled chassis can almost completely compensate for bumps in the road by networking with camera systems. The driving comfort can be increased considerably as a result. But even during dynamic maneuvers, such as abrupt evasive maneuvers, such systems can keep the vehicle in a stable range that the driver can control. Together with OVALO, we have developed a fully active chassis control system, which is now used in AUDI production vehicles.
Brake, clutch and transmission
As a development partner of various Tier 1 suppliers, we are regularly involved in new developments of various systems such as brakes, clutches or transmissions. The basic system concept is usually defined by our customer. The software and hardware (RCP) required for the first system validation is provided by adcos. Both on the model and on the control side as well as the RCP hardware, we can fall back on specially developed tools and ECUs, which enable efficient implementation of the first prototypes. In particular, the software is set up in such a way that it can be used as a basis for further series development.
