Electric construction machines

Electrification does not stop at construction machinery either. In addition to the traction drive, the main focus here is on the work equipment, such as an excavator arm. The usual hydraulic actuators are replaced by electric actuators as well as the corresponding converters.

This also enables new functions, such as the innovative control of an excavator arm similar to the motion control of a robot arm. In this way, typical spatial motion sequences are significantly simplified.

adcos develops and tests software and electrical prototyping hardware for an electrified excavator. For this purpose, we apply our know-how from robotics to both the control and the calculation of the forward and reverse kinematics.
